Our Community Closet is a community-led, thrift-style resource in Phoenix, AZ designed to keep plus-size clothing circulating within our community and out of landfills. Items are offered at low, accessible prices to help sustain the space, with vouchers available so cost is never a barrier.
First Time Visitors: Schedule an appointment. An appointment ensures we can send you arrival instructions.
Returning Visitors: Come on in during any open office hours! Availability is posted weekly on our events calendar and on our Instagram page.
How it Works
This space exists to keep clothes circulating within our community and to help us care for our shared physical space.
To support that, we’ve introduced a simple, sliding-scale pricing model:
• Items are priced at minimum donation of $1, $2, or $5 per item
• Most pieces will be $1 or $2
• $5 is our highest minimum price and is reserved only for brand-new or specialty items
Access always comes first. If paying the suggested price isn’t possible for you, vouchers are available—no questions asked. Alternatively, if you have the means to pay more than the minimum, we invite you to do so to support our cause.
Have clothing to share? We accept donations of clean, gently used items for our plus size closet. 💕
Reselling items taken from the Community Closet is strictly prohibited. If we find out that someone is reselling items from this resource, they will be banned from using the Community Closet and our events.
Clothing Donation Guidelines
- All gender clothing sizes XL and above
- Items should be clean and free of odors or heavy pet hair
- Please avoid items with holes, stains, or visible wear
- Be thoughtful – would you give the item to a friend or be happy to pay for it yourself? We have limited space and resources.
Currently not accepting:
- Shoes (unless they are WIDE WIDTH in like-new condition)
- Padded bras
- Underwear (unless they are unworn with tags)
